McKinnon passed from this life February 26, 1969, at the age of 62 years; and WHEREAS, he has been employed by the Salt Lake City Corporation for the last 28 years; his first appointment being made August 5, 1941; and WHEREAS, during the last 13 years he has faithfully and with distinction served Salt Lake City and its residents as Battalion Chief of the Fire Department; and WHEREAS, in his passing, the City of Salt Lake has lost one of its respected and efficient employees. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMIS- SIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH that it does hereby express in its own behalf and in behalf of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, its sincere and heartfelt appreciation for the life and service of Chief Francis E. McKinnon. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said Board does hereby express its deep sympathy to the family of Francis E. McKinnon.
