RESOLUTION

OF CONDOLENCE
WHEREAS, HORACE C. BECK passed away on the 8th day of March,
1971; and
WHEREAS, he served as a Judge of the City Court of Salt Lake
City for more than eight years retiring from that position on May
19, 1969; and
WHEREAS, Judge Beck was active in political, civic and fraternal
organizations during his entire life; and
WHEREAS, his public service to the residents of this city and
state was well known and respected;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express in its own
behalf and in behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City its sincere
appreciation for the life and service of Judge Horace C. Beck.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
delivered to the widow and family of Judge Beck as an expression
of our sympathy for the loss they have sustained in his passing.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of alt Lake City, Utah,
this llth day of March, 1971.
