WHEREAS, Utah Code Annotated, 1953, Section 27-12-89, provides that
a roadway when used continuously for 10 years dedicates the roadway for
a public use; and
WHEREAS, 900 North Street running east between Redwood Road and 1910
West Streets has been maintained by the City for use as a public roadway
since the 1930's; and
WHEREAS, the County records show the area has not been taxed because
it is a street; and
WHEREAS, the adjacent owners have petitioned for the City to formally
declare the roadway a street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF SALT LAKE CITY COMMIS-
SIONERS that 900 North Street running east and west between Redwood Road
and 1910 West Street, and more particularly described as follows, be, and
the same hereby is, declared to be dedicated public property for use as a
street, avenue, alley and pedestrianway or public thoroughfare.
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 11, Jordan
Plat "A" Subdivision, or Section 27, T.1 N., R.1 W., Salt
Lake Meridian, said point also being 715.50 feet S. 0°02'13"
E. and 23.61 feet N. 89°51'50" W. of the Salt Lake City Monument
at the intersection of 1000 North Street and Redwood Road and
running thence S. 0°15'07" W. 66.0 feet to the Northeast corner
of Lot 10, Block 8, said subdivision; thence N. 89°51'50" W.
1722.60 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 8, Block 8; thence
N. 0°15'07" E. 66.0 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 3, said
Block 11; thence S. 89°51'50" E. 1722.60 feet to the point of
