Dear Council Members:
The Salt Lake City Council, at its meeting this day, passed Resolution
No. 13 of 1980, recommending that the Mayor instruct the City Attorney
to take whatever actions are necessary to protect the monetary interests
of Salt Lake City and the taxpayers of Salt Lake City regarding pending
lawsuits Starr vs. Salt Lake City Corporation et al, and Butler vs. Salt
Lake City Corporation et al.
It is the further opinion and position of the City Council that the City
actively resist any claim that the City pay attorney's fees, costs, or
any other payment to Messrs. Greener and Hammond under the Public
Employees Indemnification Anti
Yours truly.
