Agraz Greener Hogensen Phillips / RESO UT ION Result OF APPR IATION WHEREAS, Mr. Dewey J. Fillis has served 30 years as a police officer and in executive positions for the Salt Lake City Police Department; and WHEREAS, on two occasions, Mr. Fillis has given faithful and diligent service as the Chief of Police of Salt Lake City; and WHEREAS, Mr. Fillis is respected and admired by the Police Department employees, his associates and other City employees for his innovative intelligent direction of the Salt Lake City Police Department during his years at the helm; and WHEREAS, the Board of City Commissioners and the residents of Salt Lake City owe Mr. Fillis a debt of gratitude for his long and faithful service. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY that the Board does hereby express to Dewey J. Fillis, on behalf of itself and the residents of Salt Lake City, their sincere appreciation and gratitude for his devoted and capable service, and for his years of loyal and dedicated service. The Board further extends its warmest wishes for health and happiness to him and his family in his retirement.
