RESOLUTION.
A RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES UPON ALL THE REAL AND
PERSONAL PROPERTY WITHIN SALT LAKE CITY, MADE TAXABLE BY LAW, FOR THE
YEAR 1911.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
That for the purpose of defraying the necessary and proper
expenses of Salt Lake City, and maintaining the government thereof,
there be, and there is hereby levied upon all the real and personal
property within said City, made taxable by law, for the fiscal year
ending December 31, 1911, a tax of Thirteen (13) mills
per each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
Said tax is hereby levied and is to be raised for the
following purposes, and is and shall be apportioned to such purposes
in the following manner:
CONTINGENT EXPENSE.
To defray contingent expenses Three and one-half (3i)
mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
STREETS AND SIDEWALKS.
To open, improve and repair sidewalks and At r ets 4-2/3
mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
INTEREST ON BONDS AND SINKING FUND.
For the payment of interest on bonds series 5,6,7,8 and 9,
and sewer bonds, Two (2) mills on
each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
WATER SUPPLY.
To purchase water sources, streams, and the lands upon
which such streams are appropriated, and canals; to construct water
works, and to supply water for irrigation and other purposes,
One (1) mill on each dollar
assessed valuation of said property.
2.
SEWERS AITD DRAIPTS.
To construct and repair sewers and drains, One (1)
mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
LIBRARY.
To maintain Public Library and Free Reading Room,
One-third (1/3) mill on each dollar assessed valuation of
said property.
PUBLIC PARKS.
To maintain Public Parks, and for parking purposes,
One-half (1/2) mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said
property.
This resolution shall take effect upon its passage.
