RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Civil Aeronautics
Authority an application of Western Air Express for a Certificate of
Convenience and Necessity covering an extension of its present service
for the transportation by air of mail, passengers, express, etc.,
between Great Falls, Montana and Lethbridge, Canada; and
WHEREAS, we are firmly convinced that air transportation
service between Great Fails, Montana and Lethbridge, Canada will be
of tremendous benefit and advantage to all of the area connecting
with such service, and of particular benefit and service to the people
of Utah and the Salt Lake City area.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Commission of
Salt Jake City, Utah, that said Commission respectfully petition3the
Civil Aeronautics Authority to great the application of Western Air
Express for the issuance of a permanent Certificate of Convenience and
Necessity covering an extension of its present service for the trans—
portation by air of mail, passengers, express, etc., between Great
Falls, Montana and Lethbridge, Canada.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Recorder of Salt
Lake City be and she is hereby directed to forward by air mail, a
certified copy of this resolution to the Civil Aeronautics Authority
and to the Honorable Robert H. Hinckley, Chairman thereof.
