WHEREAS, Bernard F. (Barney) Quinn, former chairman of
the Salt Lake County Cofismission, departed this life in Los Animas,
Colorado, Sunday, July 6, 1941; and
WHEREAS, he was a leader in Democratic circles and a native
of Salt Lake County, Utah, and enjoyed a large host of friends in
the City and County of Salt Lake.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commission-
ers of Salt Lake City that for and on behalf of the said Board of
Commissioners and the people of Salt Lake City and the many friends
and acquaintances of said Bernard F. (Barney) Quinn that a high ap-
preciation and personal respect for the splendid public service
rendered by this esteemed citizen and resident of Utah be expressed
publicly. He was always a gentleman, courteous, dignified and gra-
cious and admired by all those who knew him for his Untiring efforts
to serve the people of the County and City of Salt Lake and was pro-
minent in many community and civic undertakings. His passing will be
a definite loss to the inhabitants of Utah and the officers of the
City and County and on their behalf we extend to his widow and sisters
our heartfelt sympathy.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be apread
upon the minutes of the Board of Commissioners and that a copy be for-j
warded to Mrs. Quinn and sisters of - d Ba j .arne Quinn.
