Result . .
WHEREAS, William L. Butler has submitted his resignation as Chief Engineer of
the Power and Heating Division of Salt Lake City; and,
WHEREAS, he has served the Salt Lake City Power and Heating Division for more
than a quarter of a century with outstanding fidelity and ability; and,
WHEREAS, during his tenure of office he has directed and supervised the
activities of his department as to bring credit and distinction to Salt Lake City as
one of the Nation's clean cities; and,
WHEREAS, the inhabitants of Salt Lake City are deeply indebted to him for his
faithful and efficient service as a public servant, and he has merited their sincere
appreciation;
NW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY,
ON ITS BEHALF, AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITIZENS OF SALT LAKE CITY:
That William L. Butler is hereby commended and honored for his long and faith-
ful service to Salt Lake City in its Power and Heating Division; for his fidelity to the
duties of his office; for the efficiency and ability that characterized his service; and
for the great service he has rendered this community;
That there is hereby expressed to him the sincere and deep appreciation of the
Board of City Commissioners for his devoted public service and the outstanding con-
tribution which he has made to the well-being of Salt Lake City.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this Nineteenth
day of June, 1963.
