WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Board of Commissioners declared its
intention to create Curb and Gutter Extension No. 480 on the 18th
day of December , 1973; and
WHEREAS, said Notice of Intention was published first on December
20, 1973, second on December 27, 1973, third on January 3, 1974, and
last on January 10, 1974; and that said Notice was mailed postage pre-
paid to each owner of the property to be assessed within the special
improvement district at his last known address as said address appeared
on the last completed real property assessment rolls of Salt Lake County,
and also sent to "owner" at the street number of each piece of improved
property to be assessed; and
WHEREAS, protests respecting the creation of Special Improvement
District - Curb and Gutter Extension No. 480 - were heard and considered
by the Board of Commissioners on the 17th day of January, 1974. The
results indicate a percentage of 49.15% of protests from the abutting
property owners and a percentage of 51.32% if the three non-record
owners occupying properties in this area and protesting are counted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that the amount of protests to said Special Improve-
ment District are hereby deemed to be insufficient to require any change
or alteration in the District as proposed, and accordingly, this Board
does hereby authorize the City Engineer to proceed with this project as
described in the Notice of Intention.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City Utah, this
20th day of March, 1974.
