RESOLUTION
Result —
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City officials have been advised that
the Federal Government has put upon sale vast quantities of food
stuffs which have been accumulated for the use of the army and
which are now not needed for that aurnose; and
':CllEAs, the people of this community in common with the
people of other communities are burdened with the high prices of
food stuffs, now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City do, and it hereby does request members of the Utah
Congressional delego: ion to urge upon the Jederr.l authorities the
propriety and d.esirobility of selling at cost to t2.e municipality
of Salt Lake , and also to other municipalities, so much of the
aforesaid food products as said municipalities may desire, in order
that said food products ray be dispensed to the people at reasonable
prices.
