RESOLUTION
Result . . . .
WHEREAS, because of the revision of the business license tax, Salt
Lake City actually realized from said tax approximately $135,000.00, less
than was anticipated when said revision was adopted; and
WHEREAS, the anticipated revenues to accrue to the city for the fiscal
year 1965-1966 from all sources will be less by said sum of $135,000.00
than the anticipated and needed appropriation as detailed in the tentative
budget prepared for said fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, to balance said budget the contribution to the general fund
from the Water Utility Fund has been increased by said sum of $135,000.00,
with the understanding that said sum is to be restored when the said business
license tax can be amended to produce an amount sufficient to absorb such
increased contribution from the Water Utility Fund; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah, to revise said business license tax so as to produce additional
revenue in the fiscal year 1965-1966:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT
LAKE CITY, UTAH, that the contribution to the general fund from the Water
Utility Fund for the fiscal year 1965-1966 be increased in the sum of
$135,000.00, making a total contribution of $430,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is the intention of the Board of City
Commissioners to revise the business license tax to produce in the fiscal
year 1965-1966 additional revenue, which additional revenue will be used to
