WHEREAS, it is necessary to widen and install curb, gutters, and
enlarged driveways on 300 West Street between 9th South Street and
13th South Street in Salt Lake City, Utah; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisition
of the parcel of real property hereinafter described for the widening
and improvement of said public thoroughfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary and in the public interest of Salt Lake City
and its inhabitants that the City, for the use of the public, widen,
resurface and improve 300 West Street between 9th South Street and
13th South Street, all of which is within the corporate limits of Salt
Lake City;
That said land hereinafter described, and the whole thereof, is
hereby determined to be necessary for said improvements as hereinabove
described;
That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are, authorized
to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law Department of Salt
Lake City, to acquire thereby all the land hereinafter described for the
necessary construction of a widened and improved right of way for public
streets, as hereinabove set forth.
The parcel of land hereby authorized to be acquired by condemnation
proceedings in accordance with the provisions of the Laws of the State
of Utah, relating to eminent domain, are situated in the County of
Salt Lake, State of Utah, and is more particulary described as follows:
Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 18, Fox's
Subdivision of Lot 2, Block 23, Five Acre Plat "A",
Big Field Survey; and running thence North 0° 09'
41" West along the present East line of 2nd West
Street 280.1 feet; thence East 19.67 feet; thence
South 0° 01' 06" East 280.1 feet; thence West 18.97
feet to the point of beginning.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake t , Utah, this
26th day of March, 1974.
