WHEREAS, Marguerite Scott has decided to retire on or about
March 31, 1978; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Scott commenced her employment with Salt Lake
City Corporation October 4, 1954, and has served as an administra-
tive clerk, as a secretary and in other positions; and
WHEREAS, she has served many years as the personal secretary
for the General Superintendent of the Salt Lake City Water Department;
and
WHEREAS, during the course of her long service with Salt Lake
City Corporation, Muggs, as she is affectionately known by all of
her fellow employees and friends, has performed all of her duties
efficiently, faithfully, with great fidelity and could always be
depended upon to discharge her duties and assignments with ability
and thoroughness; and
WHEREAS, Mrs. Scott has served Salt Lake City and the citizens
thereof with great distinction, contributing long and devoted hours of
service for which Salt Lake City and its citizens owe Mrs. Scott
a great debt of gratitude for her diligent service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City that it does hereby express on its own behalf and on
behalf of the citizens of Salt Lake City, their sincere and deepest
appreciation for the devoted and capable service Mrs. Scott has pro-
vided. The Board wishes her well in her retirement and further wishes
that she will enjoy happiness, health and success in all future
endeavors.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 30th day of March, 1978.
