RESOLUTION .
Whereas, owing to the dearth of water or some other
cause, the streets of Salt Lake City are not being properly
Sprinkled, and,

Whereas, this condition is both unpleasant and dangerous
to the health of the city, and should be remedied at the
earliest possible moment; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED: That the Street Committee of this Council,
with the Street Supervisor and City Engineer Associated,
take up this matter immediately, with a view of promptly
remedying the same, and if it be found that water cannot be
spared from the waterworks system to sprinkle the streets
of the city,
that said committee consider the question of
utilizing the water that is now running to waste from the
flowing wells at the southeastern corner of Liberty Park,
for the purpose .of sprinkling, and that said committee also
consider the question of utilizing water from the city canal
for the purpose of sprinkling the streets, and that said
committee report back to this council at the earliest
possible date its recommendations, to the end that *As
