RESOLUTION. WHEREAS, Salt lake City has for many years past permitted burial of poor people in a certain plot in the City Cemetery, the expense of burial being borne by Salt Lake County; and WHEREAS, it is now desired to improve the plot of ground where the County poor are buried, by grading and beautifying the same; and • WHEREAS, Salt Lake County is willing to make an appropria- tion of not to exceed $400.00 for the purpose of such grading and beautifying of said plot: WHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that in consideration of said payment by Salt Lake County for the purposes aforesaid, Salt Lake City will continue to permit the burial of the poor of the County in the plot referred to in Salt Lake City Cemetery. H. H. Green, Commissioner of Parka and Public Property, Salt Lkke City, Utah. Dear Sir: I have been in consultation with Mr. Stephens, Assist- ant County Attorney, with regard to the appropropriation by the County of an amount not to exceed $400.00 for the purpose of improving the potters' field in the Cemetery. He is desirous of having some resolution passed by the Board of Commissioners which would justify the payment by the County of this money. I have drawn the attached resolution and suggest that it might be passed. Mr. Stephens has seen this resolution, and says upon passage of the same, the County will make the appropriation.
