A RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES UPON AT,T, THE REAL AND PERSONAL
PROPERTY WITHIN SALT LAKE CITY, MADE TAXABLE BY LAW, FOR THE YEAR
1919.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
That for the purpose of defraying the necessary and proper
expenses of Salt Lake City, and maintaining the government, there
be, and there is hereby levied upon all the real and personal
property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law, for the fis-
cal s-y year ending December 31st, 1919, a tax of e-ff-enriths
(c ) mills per each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
1 Said tax is hereby levied and it is to be raised for the
following purposes, and is and shall be apportioned to such pur-
poses in the following manner:
CONTINGENT EXPENSES
To defray contingent expenses, two and�l� -nine fortieths,
(2 39/40) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said pro-
perty.
STREETS AND SIDEWALV
To open, improve and repair streets.and sidewalks, two and
sixty-seven onehnndred and twentieths (2-67/120) mills on eaoh
dollar assessed valuation of said property.
INTEREST ON BONDS AND SINKING FUND
For the payment of interest on outstanding bonds, and to
constitute a sinking fund for the payment of the principal of
the same eight-tenths (8/10) of a mill on each dollar assessed
valuation of said property.
SAw.nL S AND DRAIN
To construct and repair sewers and drains one-third (1/3)
of a mill on each dollar of assessed valuation of said property.;
LIBRARY
To maintain Public Library and Free Reading Room, one-third
(1/3) of a mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said pro-
party.
It is necessary that this resolution take effect upon its
passage as an emergency measure so that said levy may be made
and said tax collected as required by law.
This resolution shell take effect upon its passage.
