Finch 7/ f Moran Mr.Chairman - - - Result RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES UPON ALL THE REAL AND PER- SONAL PROPERTY WITHIN SALT LAKE CITY, made taxable by law, for the year 1928. Be it resolved by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: That for the purpose of defraying the necessary and proper expenses of Salt Lake City, and maintaining the government thereof, there be and there is hereby levied upon all the real and personal property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law, for the fiscal year ending December 31, 1928, a tax of eleven (11) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. Said tax is hereby levied and to be raised for the fol- lowing purposes, and is and shall be apportioned to such purposes in the following manner: CONTINGENT EXPENSES. to defray contingent expenses Five and 460/1000 - (5.460) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. WATER SUPPLY AND WATERWORKS. To purchase water sources, streams and the land upon which said streams are appropriated and canals and to construct waterworks and to supply water for irrigation and other purposes o. 1. nine hundred thousandths (900/1000) of a mill on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. STREETS AND SIDEWALKS. For the payment of interest on outstanding bonds and to constitute a sinking fund for the payment of the principal of `. !outstanding bonds one and one hundred fifty thousandths (1.150) :mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property. PUBLIC LIBRLRIES. to maintain public libraries and free reading rooms five hundred ninety thousandths (590/1000) of a mill on each dollar - ,,,,! assessed valuation of said property. It is necessary in the opinion of the Board of Commission- ers for the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, Utah, that this resolution take effect upon its passage and an emergency is hereby declared to exist so that said levy ma.y be made and said tax collected as required by law.
