RESOLUTION ,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Jean Russell Finch, the beloved wife of our
highly esteened Chief of Police and former City Commissioner, de-
parted this life on August 16th, 1937; and
`` WHEREAS, the City Commission of Salt Lake City, desire at
lithis time and on this sad occasion to express their deepest sympath/
Ito him and to the other members of the bereaved family;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Board does here-
by express its appreciation of the sterling character,itltegrity and
fortitude of Mrs. Finch, who was at all times willing to serve the
community which she respected so highly; and this Commission does
hereby wish to pay tribute to the memory of this most useful citize;u
and does offer condolence and most sincere sympathy to Mr. Finch
Hand his family in this, their great hour of trial.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution be spread

upon the minutes of this meeting and that an engrossed copy be sent
Ito the family.
