Mr. Chairman . / RESOLUTION Result . . . . / OF APPRECIATION ✓WHEREAS, a numberof public spirited citizens were appointed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City as a Citizens Review Board, with I. J. Wagner as chairman, to review the salary and revenue problems of the city; and WHEREAS, a Revenue Study Committee was formed from said Citizens' Review Board, with Gus P. Backman as chairman, and a Wage and Salary Committee was formed from said Board, with Eugene R. Fallentine as chairman, to study and make recommendations as to revenue sources and a wage and salary structure for the city; and WHEREAS, after many weeks of intensive study and investigation without any monetary compensation, said Review Board has concluded its assignment, and, on May 31, 1967, submitted to the Board of City Commissioners its final report and recommendations relative to revenue sources and wage and salary classifications of officers and employees of the city and salary schedules in connection therewith; and WHEREAS, said Board has rendered to Salt Lake City, its officers and employees, a great technical and impartial service: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY that said Board, for itself and on behalf of its officers and employees and citizens of Salt Lake City, does hereby express to the said Revenue Board, and to its chairman, I. J. Wagner, and each individual member, namely, Gus P. Backman, W. Meeks Wirthlin, Calvin A. Behle, John H. Snow, Wallace L. Smith, Eugene R. Fallentine, Lynn J. Marsh and Wiley I. Beavers, its sincere and deep appreciation for their untiring and unselfish work and for the able and competent manner in which they have fulfilled their assignment as evidenced in their report. The City Recorder is hereby directed to forward a copy of this resolution to each of the members of said Board of Review.
