SF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Eugene G. Cederlof has served Salt Lake
City residents well and faithfully as a competent police officer and
administrator for more than twenty-five years; and
WHEREAS, Assistant Chief Cederlof's abilities have been recognized
by his superior officers resulting in Mr. Cederlof progressively and
rapidly being given greater responsibilities; and
WHEREAS, his ability resulted in Mr. Cederlof being chosen as an
Assistant Chief in 1971; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Cederlof's abilities have been recognized nationally
as evidenced by a letter of commendation from the late J. Edgar Hoover,
director of the F. B. I.; and
WHEREAS, the residents of Salt Lake City have benefited greatly
from the service of Assistant Chief Cederlof in helping to develop Salt
Lake City's police force into one of the finest forces in the nation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY that the Board, on behalf of themselves and the residents
of Salt Lake City, hereby express their thanks and gratitude for the
years of faithful and capable service to the community. The Board
further extends its warmest wishes for health and happiness to Assistant
Chief Cederlof and his family in his retirement.
