WHEREAS, C. Cash Rampton was appointed in February, 3-9�6, by
the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, to serve as a
Commissioner on the Planning and Zoning Commission of Salt Lake City;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Rampton has served in his appointment as Commissioner
of the Salt Lake City Planning and Zoning Commission continuously
since 1966, and in this capacity has been involved with numerous
projects which have been of great significance to the quality of life
and the environment of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, during the course of his commission, Cash Rampton has
performed all of his duties efficiently, faithfully and honestly;
also Mr. Rampton has earned the respect and admiration of his colleagues
and the public with whom he has dealt; and
WHEREAS, the unpaid voluntary services rendered to Salt Lake
City on the Planning and Zoning Commission by Mr. Rampton for the
past 13 years represent a prime example of individual citizens civic
involvement and service by accepting responsible and time demanding
responsibilities that benefit the entire community of Salt Lake City;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Rampton has recently resigned as a member of the Salt
Lake City Planning and Zoning Commission, which resignation has been
reluctantly accepted by this Commission; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Rampton is also serving as a member of the Board
of Adjustments and has agreed to retain his position thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, that the Board does hereby express to C. Cash Rampton
on behalf of itself and on behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City
its sincere appreciation and gratitude for his devoted and capable
services, his untiring efforts for the past decade to aid, beautify
and guide the wise development of Salt Lake City and commends him for

remaining as a member of the Board of Adjustments. The Board wishes
him well in his continued efforts and pursuits &Fed he now leaves his
appointment as a Commissioner of the Salt Lake City Planning and
Zoning Commission and hopes that he will derive satisfaction from the
beauty of Salt Lake City knowing that he has played an important
role in its beautification, revitalization and development.
