Barker Harmsen Harrison 1 Phillips RESOLUTION Result (IF CONDOT.F.N r.F WHEREAS, Salt Lake County Deputy Sheriff Melvin C. Col$ebrook was killed March 10th, 1973, while in the line of duty within Salt Lake County; and WHEREAS, his untimely death is deeply mourned by all who knew him; and WHEREAS, Deputy Colfebrook was dedicated to the service of his fellowmen and was particularly interested in serving his fellowmen as a law enforcement officer; and WHEREAS, Deputy Colfebrook was respected and admired by his fellow- officers and by his friends and neighbors and the residents of Salt Lake City; and WHEREAS, in his passing Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, and the State of Utah has lost one of its most loyal and respected police officers. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express on its own behalf and on behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City, its profound grief and sorrow and expresses its most sincere sympathy to the wife of Deputy Colebrook and his other survivors for the great personal loss which they have sustained. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to the family of Deputy Colebrook as an expression of our sympathy and deep feeling of loss.
