NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that an emergency exists and it is necessary to make additional appropriations for the follow- ing accounts and departments for the year 1939, and that the follow- ing sums of money, or as much thereof as may be necessary, be and the same are hereby appropriated for the support of the various de- partments indicated for the calendar year ending December 31, 1939. Said appropriations are further itemized in the requests on file for such appropriations and are in addition to those heretofore authorized and passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City on December 29, 1938, February 2, 1939, March 14, 1939, March 30, 1939, April 27, 1939, May 11, 1939, and August 2, 1939, to-witP PUBLIC SAFETY.
