TRANSFERRING THE SUM OF $90,000 OF THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT
FUND FROM NEW STREET DEPARTMENT SHOP TO NEW HEALTH BUILDING
WHEREAS, at the time the budget of Salt Lake City for the fiscal
year 1964-65, relating to the Capital Improvement Fund No. 11, was
prepared and adopted there was appropriated in said Capital Improvement
Fund the sum of $228,068.77, Budget No. 11-R-12, for a new health
building, and the sum of $300,000, Budget No. 11-R-18, for a new street
department shop; and
WHEREAS, the amount appropriated for said new health building is
insufficient in the amount of $90,000 to construct said building as
evidenced by bids received on two separate calls for bids; and
WHEREAS, the construction of said new street department shop will
not be commenced until late in said budget year and the full amount of
the appropriation will not be required for use in the 1964-65 fiscal
year; and
WHEREAS, the construction of the said new health building is
extremely urgent and should be constructed without delay so as to accommo-
date the Health Department as soon as possible and the transfer of the
sum of $90,000 from said new street department shop to said new health
building will permit construction of the latter to commence forthwith:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that the sum of $90,000 from the appropriation made
in the Capital Improvement Fund No. 11, budget for the fiscal year
beginning July 1, 1964 and ending June 30, 1965, shown as Budget No.
11-R-18, New Street Department Shop, be, and the same hereby is, trans-
ferred to Budget No. 11-R-12, New Health Building, thereby decreasing

the appropriation for the former from $300,000 to $210,000 and in-
creasing the latter from $228,068.77 to $318,068.77.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Auditor is hereby empowered
and directed to make said transfer of appropriation fully effective
and to do things necessary to account for the appropriation so
transferred.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
29th day of July, 1964.
