WHEREAS, under Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended ("Title I"), the
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development is authorized to extend financial assistance
to local public agencies in the elimination and prevention of the spread of their slums and
urban blight through undertakings and activities carried out under a Neighborhood Develop-
ment Program, and
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City has prepared and submitted a
proposed Neighborhood Development Program and annual increment thereof covering the urban
renewal areas described in Schedule A attached thereto; said proposed program and annual
increment having been duly reviewed and considered:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
1. That the Neighborhood Development Program and annual increment are hereby
approved. That the City Recorder is hereby directed to file a copy of said program and
annual increment with the minutes of this meeting.
2. That it is cognizant of the conditions that are imposed in the undertakings
and carrying out of urban renewal activities with Federal financial assistance under
Title I, including those relating to (a)the relocation of site occupants, (b)the provisions
of local grants-in-aid, and (c)the prohibition of discrimination because of race, color,
creed, or national origin.
3. That the financial assistance available under Title I is needed to enable
the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City to finance the undertakings and activities
proposed in said program and annual increment.
4. That the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City is authorized to file an
application for financial assistance to carry out the Neighborhood Development Program
and the annual increment thereof.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah this 2:124 day
of May, 1972.

THEREOF AND FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

(I) That, he is the duly qualified and acting City Recorder of the City of Salt Luke,
herein called the "Applicant.," and the Keeper of its records; including th, louraai
of proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, herein
called the "Governing Body."
(2) That the attached resolution is a true and correct copy of the resolution as
finally adopted at a meeting of the Governing Body held on the 23rd day of May,
1972, and duly recorded in his office. Also attached hereto is a true and correct
copy of the Urban Renewal Plan presented at the meeting and approved by the resolu-
tion;
(3) That said meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in accordance
with law and to the extent required by law due and proper notice of such meeting
was given; that a legal quorum was present throughout the meeting, and a legally
sufficient number of members of the Governing Body voted in the proper manner
and for the adoption of said resolution; and all other requirements and proceedings
under law incident to the proper adoption or passage of said resolution, have been
duly fulfilled, carried out, and otherwise observed;
(4) That if an impression of the seal has been affixed below, it constitutes the
official seal of the Applicant and this certificate is hereby executed under such
officials seal. If no seal has been affixed below, the Applicant does not have and
is not legally required to have an official seal;
(5) That the undersigned is duly authorized to execute this certificate.
