Smart, departed this life on Monday, the 18th day of February, 1963; and WHEREAS, he had devoted his talents to the service of the people of the State of Utah and Salt Lake City with distinction as a citizen and holder of public office; and WHEREAS, he was highly respected and honored by all who knew him and benefited from his public and private service; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby pay tribute to his integrity, his great accomplishments, his many services to this state and city; the endless love and friendship which he demonstrated to all who knew him and for his rich contribution to the welfare of the citizens of this state and city. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the members of the Board of Commis- sioners of Salt Lake City do hereby express their deep sympathy to their fellow commissioner Herbert F. Smart in the loss of his brother. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be delivered to the family of Lynn W. Smart as an expression of our sympathy and our sincere appreciation for the service and contribution he made to the wel- fare and advancement of Salt Lake City and the State of Utah. - 2 - Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 21st day of February , 1963.
