Toronto 2328 Country Club Circle Salt Lake City, Utah 84109 Dear Mrs. Toronto and Family: The Board of Salt Lake City Commissioners passed the attached Resolution in honor of your late husband and father. By this action, equal tribute is also paid to you for the love and devotion and inspiration you have given to your beloved husband and father. You have our sincerest sympathy in your bereavement. May God bless you and yours with that peace which surpasseth all understanding. Chairman . RESOLUTION Result . . . . OF CONDOLENCE WHEREAS, LAMONT F. TORONTO departed from this life on the 21st day of January, 1971; and WHEREAS, Mr. Toronto served the people of the State of Utah as Secretary of State for twelve years and had recently been elected a member of the State Board of Education; and WHEREAS, he has been active in political, business, civic, educational and church service during his most productive life; and WHEREAS, in his passing Salt Lake City and the State of Utah has lost one of its most honorable and respected citizens; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express on its own behalf, and on behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City, its lasting appre- ciation and honored respect for the outstanding life and service of Lamont F. Toronto. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to the family of Lamont F. Toronto as an expression of our sympathy for the deep loss they have sustained in his passing.
