Result
RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, John A. Farrell commenced employment with Salt Lake
City Corporation on March 15, 1930; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Farrell has served as a member of the Street
Department for a total of 43 years; and
WHEREAS, in 1945 Mr. Farrell was promoted to construction
foreman and worked in that capacity until 1970, at which time he
was then promoted to streets superintendent; and
WHEREAS, during his long tenure of service, he has been
diligent and efficient in the discharge of his duties and assign-
ments and has served with fidelity and thoroughness, thus rendering
valuable service to Salt Lake City and its inhabitants; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Farrell has retired from his employment with
Salt Lake City Corporation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY that it does hereby express to John A. Farrell
sincere and deep appreciation and gratitude for his faithful service
to Salt Lake City and its inhabitants. Said Board further expresses
its best wishes for a long, productive and enjoyable period of
retirement.
