BE IT RESOLV,'D by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: That the public interest and convenience require, and that it is the intention of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City to order the following improvement to be made• in said city, namely: That there shall be maintained in said City ender the authority and provisions of Chapter 15, Compiled Laws of Utah, 1917, a lighting district heretofore established and known as Lighting District No. Two, which shall comprise the following Street: Both sides of Main Street between South Temple and Fifth South Streets; and the lets, pieces and subdivisions of ground fronting and abutting on said street within said limits shall be assessed according to the benefits received from said improvement to pay the costs and expenses thereof; said improvement shall consist of the maintenance of fourteen appropriate standards of special design heretofore ereoted in each block along Main Street (seven standards on each side in each blook) in said district, matt each standard carrying three inverted ornamented 6.6 ampere xuminous arc lamps, and said lamps, 210 in number, to be sup- plied with electric current for the illumination of the same from fifteen minutes before dusk until midnight four lamps in every night. each block, however, to be lighted all night?. Said Lighting District shall be maintained;for a period of one year from 9egtembe-r 29, 1919 to -Sep-tembier 29, 1920. Said improvement is hereby referred to the City Engineer of Salt Lake City, and he is hereby directed to make and file -1- with the City Recorder a report in writing containing the following particulars: 1. Plana and specifications for the work required for said improvement; 2. An estimate of the cost of said improvement and of the maxam a./ .xpa uaVa a.0 uvxuouviv++ - 3. A diagram showing the said proposed improvement district and the boundaries and dimensions of the respective lots, parcels or subdivisions of land therein. 4. A proposed assessment of the total amount of the costs and expenses of the proposed improvement ipon the several sub- divisions of land in said district in proportion to the estimated benefit to be received by such subdivisions from such improve- ment. -2-
