RESOLUTION CREATING SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT
DISTRICT NO. 492-1
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City declared
its intention to create Special Improvement District, designated as
Curb and Gutter Extension No. 492-1; and
WHEREAS, said Notice of Intention was published first on
January 28, 1975, second, on February 4, 1975, third on February 11,
1975, and last on February 18, 1975; and that said Notice was mailed
postage prepaid to each owner of the property to be assessed within
the special improvement district at his last known address as said
address appeared on the last completed real property assessment rolls
of Salt Lake County, and also sent to "owner" at the street number
of each piece of improved property to be assessed; and
WHEREAS, protests received in response to the Notice of Intention
for construction of Curb and Gutter Extension No. 492-1 in the area
of 300 West Street from 9th South to 13th South Streets amounts to
a total frontage protesting of 2,083.67 front feet, or 39.4 percent
of the total frontage protesting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby create Special Improve-
ment District No. 492-1 inasmuch as the amount of protests are
hereby deemed to be insufficient to require any change or alteration
in the District as proposed; and, accordingly, this Board does hereby
authorize the City Engineer to proceed with this project as described
in the Notice of Intention.
