WHEREAS, Ellsworth Brunson has served as chairman of the Salt
Lake Sister Cities Committee; and
WHEREAS, he has recently been called as a Mission President
for the LDS Church and will no longer be able to fill the chairman-
ship; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brunson has worked diligently in behalf of the
City to achieve brotherhood and promote International understanding
with the sister cities of Salt Lake City Corporation; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Brunson has been largely responsible for achieving
an effective committee organization to carry out the purposes of the
sister cities committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City that on behalf of itself and its citizens it extends
its heart-felt thanks to Ellsworth Brunson for the work he has done
in promoting the International understanding and congratulate him
on his new position.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 4th day of April , 1978.
