IN SUPPORT OF SENATE BILL NO. 184
 OF 1979 GENERAL LEGISLATIVE SESSION
WHEREAS, Senate Bill 184 has been introduced to the 1979 General
Legislative Session which provides for financial assistance to West-
minster College; and
WHEREAS, said Senate Bill 184 would have the salutary effect of
supporting an outstanding educational institution which is in need of
financial aid; and
WHEREAS, it would he in the best interests of the citizens of
Salt Lake City and the State of Utah to preserve and aid said college
by granting direly needed financial assistance while allowing addition-
al educational choice and opportunity to those who choose to use its
facilities from the City, the State and elsewhere;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Salt Lake City
Commissioners that it urges the 1979 General Session to support and

It will preserve an outstanding educational institution which cannot
survive without such aid. Further, that preserving said college will
continue the salutary influence of the college on the community and
State.
A copy of this Resolution is to be forwarded to the members of
the House and Senate as an expression of the City's concern and
support for the Bill as presently drafted.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
