A RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES UPON ALL THE REAL AND PERSONAL
PROPERTY WITHIN SALT LAKE CITY, made taxable by law, for the year
1936.
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
That for the purpose of defraying the necessary and proper
expenses of Salt Lake City and maintaining the government thereof,
there be and there is hereby levied upon all the real and personal
property within Salt Lake City, made taxable by law, for the fiscal
year ending December 31, 1936, a tax of fourteen (14) mills on
each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
Said tax is hereby levied and to be raised for the fol-
lowing purposes, and is and shall be apportioned to such purposes
in the following manner:
CONTINGENT EXPENSES:
To defray contingent expenses, one (1.000) mill on each
dollar assessed valuation of said property.
AUDITOR.
To defray the expenses of the auditor one hundred forty-
five thousandths (145/1000) of a mill on each dollar assessed valua-
tion of said property.
PUBLIC LIBRARIES.
To maintain public libraries and free reading rooms five
hundred fifty thousandths (550/1000) of a mill on each dollar
assessed valuation of said property.
DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY.
To defray the expense of the Department of Public Safety
four and six hundred nine thousandths (4.609) mills on each dollar

assessed valuation of said property.
PARKS AND PUBLIC PROPERTY.
To defray the expense of the Department of Parks and
Public Property one and one hundred forty-two thousandths (1.142)
mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
STREETS AND SIDEWALKS.
To open, improve and repair streets and sidewalks two
and six hundred two (2.0O2) mills on each dollar assessed valua-
tion of said property.
BONDS AND BOND INTEREST.
For the payment of interest on outstanding bonds and
to constitute a Sinking Fund for the payment of the principal
of outstanding bonds three and nine hundred fifty-two thousandths
(3.952) mills on each dollar assessed valuation of said property.
It is necessary in the opinion of the Board of Commis-
sioners for the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City, Utah, that this resolution shall take effect upon
its passage and an emergency is hereby declared to exist so that
said levy may be made and said tax collected as required by law.
This resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.
Adopte by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
