A RESOLUTION LEVYING TAXES UPON ALL REAL AND PERSONAL
PROPERTY WITHIN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, MADE TAXABLE BY
LAW FOR THE YEAR 1965.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That for the purpose of defraying the necessary and proper expenses of
Salt Lake City and maintaining the Government thereof, there be and there is
hereby levied upon all the real and personal property within Salt Lake City,
Utah, made taxable by law, to be levied in the year 1965, for the City's
fiscal year ending June 30, 1966, a tax of 24 mills on each dollar assessed
valuation of said property for Salt Lake City consisting of 18.5 mills for
general city purposes and 5.5 mills for city bond interest and bond redemp-
tion sinking fund. In addition to the above, there is hereby levied upon
all the real and personal property within Salt Lake City, Utah, made taxable
by law, to be levied in the year 1965, for the City's fiscal year ending
June 30, 1966, a tax of 2.0 mills to maintain public libraries and reading
rooms.
In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is necessary for the
peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City, Utah, that
this Resolution take effect upon its passage, and an emergency is hereby
declared to exist so that said levy may be made and said tax collected as
required by law.
This Resolution shall take effect upon its adoption.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
5th day of August, 1965.
