Alex McCafferty for his capable and
devoted services to Salt Lake City as a

RESOLUTION
Result . . . .
WHEREAS, Alex McCafferty has been employed by Salt Lake City in the
Department of Parks and Public Property as a golf professional at Nibley Park
since 1950 until his retirement March 31, 1968; and
WHEREAS, in his position as golf professional at said golf course he
has had extensive and close association with many persons, old and young, and
many groups and associations of persons; and
WHEREAS, in all his contacts with people he has consistently exhibited
friendliness and helpfulness, giving freely of his time and talent without
discrimination and without remuneration; and
WHEREAS, he has been a good friend and example to the youth of the city,
and has been outstanding in his relations with the public, thereby bringing
credit to the city and its residents; and
WHEREAS, he has always been dedicated to the full discharge of the duties
of his appointment, serving long hours and being always on the job to render
service; and
WHEREAS, through his capable and faithful attention to the responsibiil-
ties of his appointment he has rendered valuable service to Salt Lake City
and its inhabitants;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT
LAKE CITY, UTAH, that said Board, on behalf of itself and the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City, does hereby express to Alex McCafferty sincere thanks and
deep appreciation for his capable and devoted services.
Said Board extends its best wishes that the future will bring him added
enjoyments and satisfactions.
The City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a copy of this resolution
to Mr. McCafferty.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 14th
day of May, 1968.
