RESOLUTION
Result OF CONDOLENCE
WHEREAS, John L. "Jack" Thomson met an untimely death on
April 4, 1971; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Thomson had served as Superintendent of the Salt
Lake City Cemetery for six years in an efficient and capable manner;
and
WHEREAS, he has been active in business, civic, recreational
and fraternal service during his productive life; and
WHEREAS, in his passing Salt Lake City has lost a loyal and
respected employee;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express on its own
behalf, and on behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City, its
grateful appreciation for the life and service of John L. "Jack"
Thomson and for his loyal devotion to his duties as Superintendent
of the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be
delivered to the family of John L. "Jack" Thomson as an expression
of our sympathy for the great loss they have sustained in his
passing.
