RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE AND APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Bernice S. Perry departed this life on January 24, 1975;
and
WHEREAS, she was at the time of her death a stenographer in the
Department of the City Engineer; and
WHEREAS, she was dedicated to the services of the residents of
Salt Lake City and devoted her life to the service of her community;
and
WHEREAS, she was a valued employee and hard worker, grateful and
diligent in regard to her employment and to her service to the citizens
of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, her fellow employees and associates voted to award her
the "Courtesy is Contagious" award for her gracious, sincere and
cheerful manner in performing her duties; and
WHEREAS, she was respected, admired and well liked by her fellow
employees and by her friends and neighbors; and
WHEREAS, in her passing Salt Lake City has lost a very loyal and
trusted employee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, that it does hereby express, on its own behalf,
and on behalf of the citizens of Salt Lake City its profound grief and
expresses its most sincere sympathy to the family of Bernice S. Perry
for the great personal loss which they have sustained.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be delivered
to the family of Mrs. Perry, as an expression of our sympathy and deep
feeling of loss.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
3rd day of April, 1975.
