ROLLCALL tt.t3-300 LAKESIDC PROMS IVO No VOTING Irett Salt Lake City, Utah,- ItAltab4141‘' , • - • ;' - I move that resolution No.2.- by Mr Mortis wess be adopted. • Lawrence 4VIC - Morrie Mr.Chairman Result RESOLUTION. it WHEREAS,under divers franchises granted by Salt Lake City to and now owned by the Utah Light & Railway Co., said Company is bound to keep in repair the spaces between the rails of its tracks and two feet outside the outer rails of the same; and WHEREAS,eomplaints have been made to the Board of Commissioners of this City and to the members of said Board that many of the streets of the City are dangerous to travelers by reason of the condition of the space in said streets occupied by the tracks of said Company; and WHEREAS, the defective and dangerous condition of many streets by reason of the failure of said Company to comply with the terms of its franchises in regard to repair thereof, is evident to all persons using them; NOW THEREE'ORE, RR IT RESOLVED that said Utah Light & Railway Co. is hereby required within five days after receipt of a copy of this resolution to commence, and within thirty days after receipt of said copy of resolution complete the reis.ir of the space between the rails of its tracks and for the distance of two feet outside the outer rails of the same, upon the follow- ing streets in this City, towit: Main Street, South Temple Street, Second South Street, Third South Street, Ninth East Street, First Avenue from State Ito "A" Street, and State Street. That in making said repairs said Company shall restore the spaces aforesaid to the condition they were in when the work of paving the said streets was completed and accepted by the City. RESOLVED FURTHER that the City Recorder shall deliver ,or cause to be delivered to the Utah Light & Railway Co., a certified copy of this resolution.
