COMMISSIONERS OFSALT LAKE CITY, SALT LAKE COUNTY,
STATE OF UTAH, TO CONSTRUCT A SANITARY SEWER LINE CON—
SISTING OF APPROXIMATELY 9,368 FEET OF 12—INCH AND
268 FEET OF 8—INCH SEWER PIPE, INCLUDING WYES, MANHOLES
AND FLUSH TANKS; TO CREATE A SPECIAL SEWER EXTENSION
DISTRICT NO. 890 IN SAID CITY; TO DEFRAY THE COST AND
EXPENSES OF SAID IMPROVEMENTS BY SPECIAL ASSESSMENT TO BE
LEVIED AGAINST THE PROPERTY BENEFITED BY SUCH IMPROVEMENTS;
PROVIDING FOR A NOTICE OF INTENTION TO AUTHORIZE SUCH
SEWER EXTENSION DISTRICT AND FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR
PROTESTS AGAINST SUCH IMPROVEMENTS OR THE CREATION OF
SUCH SEWER EXTENSION SPECIAL IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY,
SALT LAKE COUNTY, STATE OF UTAH:
SECTION 1. The Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake
County, Utah, has determined and hereby determines that it will be in the
best interest of said City to construct a sanitary sewer line, as speci-
fied on the plans, specifications and profiles on file in the office of
the City Engineer, the said streets to be improved and the boundaries of
said Sewer Extension No. 890, all more particularly described in the
Notice of Intention to construct the proposed improvements hereinafter
set forth:
SECTION 2. The proposed district shall be known as SANITARY SEWER
EXTENSION NO. 890, of Salt Lake City, Salt Lake County, Utah.
SECTION 3. The City shall pay the cost and expenses of improvements
to be constructed on streets and avenues on property owned by said City.
Such part of the cost and expenses of the proposed improvements as is not
paid by the City shall be assessed against the lots and lands adjoining,
abutting, contiguous or adjacent to the proposed improvements.
SECTION 4. Written protests against the proposed improvements or
against the creation of said district must be presented and filed in the

office of the City Recorder on or before the day of
1964, at the hour of
5:00 o'clock, P .M., and on the Third

day of September
Y , 1964, at the hour of 10:00 o'clock
A .M., at the City Hall of said City such protests shall be heard
and considered by the Board of Commissioners. The City Recorder is
hereby directed to give notice of intention to make the proposed improve-
ment and of the time within which protests against the proposed improve-
ments or the creation of said district may be filed, and the date when
such protests will be heard and considered by publication in a newspaper
having general circulation in Salt Lake City, said publication to be in
three (3) consecutive issues of said newspaper, the first publication to
be not less than twenty (20) days prior to the date fixed for the first
meeting of the Board of Commissioners, and by mailing said notice by
United States mail, postage prepaid, to the owners of the property
affected by, or specially benefited by, such improvement as said property
is described in said notice, insofar as the names and addresses of said
owners can be ascertained from the most recent available county assessment
books and addressed to owners as provided by ordinance. Said notices
shall be mailed not less than twenty-one (21) days prior to the date
when protests shall be heard and considered by the Board of Commissioners.
The City Recorder shall have on file in his office a copy of the Notice
of Intention for the examination of any interested parties, a copy of
which said notice is attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference:
NOTICE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah, of the intention of such Board of Commissioners to make the
following described improvements, to-wit:
To construct a sanitary sewer line consisting of approximately
9,368 feet of 12-inch and 268 feet of 8-inch sewer pipe, including wyes,
manholes and flush tanks, all complete according to plans and specifi-
cations on file in the office of the City Engineer. This extension shall
be constructed within the following described area and boundaries and
on the following described streets:
AREA: Blocks - 1 to 5, inclusive, in Irving Park Addition Subdivision;
the north and south side of 3rd South Street from Redwood Road
to Navajo Street; Blocks 3 and 4 of Highland Park Addition;
Block 5 of Jordan Place Addition; Block 11 and 12 of Plat "A",
Glendale Park; Blocks 1, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 of Nelson and Early's
Subdivision; all of the N.E.a of S.E.4. All of above described
area is in Section 3, Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake
Base and Meridian.
BOUNDARIES: North - 2nd. South Street
South - 5th South Street
East - Navajo Street
West - Redwood Road
STREETS:
Along the following named streets the abutting property will be
assessed for the total cost of constructing a 12-inch or 8-inch sanitary
sewer, together with wyes, manholes and flush tanks and other incidental
costs at the herein below estimated cost per front foot of abutting
property:
REA AVENUE - West side - from the Union Pacific right of way at
the north to the north side of 3rd South Street to the south.
REA AVENUE - East side - from the Union Pacific right of way at the
north to the north side of 3rd South Street to the south.
SHORTRIDGE AVENUE - West side - from the Union Pacific right of way
at the north to the north side of 3rd South Street to the south.
SHORTRIDGE AVENUE - East side - from the Union Pacific right of way
at the norlth to the north side of 3rd South Street to the south.
FOSS AVENUE - west side - from the south side of 2nd South to the
north side of 3rd South Street at the south.

2ND SOUTH STREEri: North side - from the east side of Montgomery
Avenue on the west to the west side of 14th West Street to the
east.
2ND SOUTH STREET: South side - from the east side of Montgomery
Avenue on the west to the west side of 14th West Street to the
east.
3RD SOUTH STREET: North side - from the east side of Redwood Road
on the west to west side of Navajo Avenue on the east.
3RD SOUTH STREET: South side - from the east side of Redwood Road
on the west to the west side of Navajo Avenue on the east.
4TH SOUTH STREET: North side - from the east side of Cheyenne
Street on the west to a point 974 more or less feet east.
4TH SOUTH STREET: South side - from the east side of Cheyenne
Street on the west to a point 953 more or less feet east.
CHEYENNE STREET: West side - from the southeast corner of the Board
of Education property, NWa of SEa of Section 3, on the south to
the south side of 3rd South on the north.
CHEYENNE STREET: East side - from the north side of 5th South on
the south to the south side of 3rd South Street on the north side.
MONTGOMERY AVENUE: West side - from the south side of 2nd South
Street to the north side of 3rd South Street to the south and 279
more or less feet south from the south side of 5th South Street.
MONTGOMERY AVENUE: East side - from the south side of 2nd South
Street to the north side of 3rd South Street to the south and 264
more or less feet south from the south side of 5th South Street.

All other necessary things shall be done to complete the whole
project in a proper and workmanlike manner according to plans, specifications
and profiles on file in the office of the Salt Lake City Engineer, and to
defray the abutter's cost and expense of said improvement by special tax
or assessment to be paid in five (5) equal annual installments, plus five
(5) per cent interest on the unpaid balance' levied according to the front

or linear foot frontage upon and against all lots, pieces or parcels of
land to be benefited and affected by said improvement. The whole amount
of the tax may be paid without interest within 15 days after notification
by the Salt Lake City Treasurer of the amount due.
There shall be exemptions made for corner lots to be apportioned
as defined and provided for in the ordinances of Salt Lake City.
All protests and objections to the carrying out of such intention
must be presented in writing, stating therein, lot and block or description
of property, to the City Recorder on or before the Second day of
September 1964.
The Board of Commissioners at its first regular meeting thereafter,
to-wit: the Third day of September , 1964, will consider
the proposed levy and hear and consider such protests and objections to
said proposed improvements as shall have been made.
