RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE
WHEREAS, on the first day of April, 1975, H. R. Waldo, Jr. departed this
life; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Waldo was an eminent, renowned and respected member of the
Utah State Bar; and
WHEREAS, he willingly contributed his talents, advice and services to
many public causes including serving as President of the Young Lawyers section
of the Utah State Bar in 1963, as President of the Salt Lake County Bar Asso-
ciation in 1971, as a member of the Special Committee of the Utah State Bar on
the Model Corporation Code in 1961 and as a member of the Special Committee of
the Utah State Bar on the Nonprofit Corporation Code in 1962; and
WHEREAS, he served as a member of the Utah Agencies and played a signi-
ficant role in developing air policy for Utah; and
WHEREAS, he also served as a member of the Board of Trustees of Westmin-
ster College and a public member of the Salt Lake City Civil Service Commis-
sion; and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City gratefully acknowledges his great service to this
community and wishes to express its deep appreciation therefor-.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah, that it does hereby express on behalf of said Board and of the
citizens of Salt Lake City, sincere and deep appreciation and gratitude for the
great and unselfish services which H. R. Waldo, Jr. rendered to Salt Lake City
and its citizens.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners hereby expresses tc
the family of H. R. Waldo, Jr. its sincere and deep sympathy at this time of
great personal loss.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to his
family.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 3rd
day of April, 1975.
