Silver has been employed continuously by Salt Lake City, Utah for more than 37 years in the Department of Streets and Public Improvements, as Superintendent of what is now known as the Traffic Signal Division; and WHEREAS, during his long tenure of service he has served with fidelity and has capably discharged the duties assigned to him; and WHEREAS, through his faithful attention to his duties he has rendered valuable service to Salt Lake City and its inhabitants; and WHEREAS, he has now retired from further employment by the City: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY that said Board, on its own behalf, and on behalf of the residents of Salt Lake City, does hereby express to Mr. Silver sincere thanks and appreciation for his devoted services. The City Recorder is hereby directed to deliver a copy of this resolution to Mr. Silver. Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 14th day of May , 1961 . r /J.
