WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire land and to construct there-
on all necessary improvements for the purpose of providing the residents
of Salt Lake City with adequate library facilities; and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisi-
tion, construction and completion of the above named public improvements;
and
WHEREAS, the public interest and necessity require the acquisi-
tion of the real property hereinafter described for the above named public
improvements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
That it is necessary and in the public interest of said city and
its inhabitants that the city acquire land and construct thereon all neces-
sary improvements to provide the residents of the city with adequate library
facilities.
That the acquisition of the land hereinafter described and the
construction thereon of all necessary improvements to provide the residents
of Salt Lake City with adequate library facilities is hereby authorized.
That said land hereinafter described and the whole thereof is
hereby determined to be necessary and the most suitable for the construction
of said library facilities, and the acquisition of said land by Salt Lake
City for such purposes is hereby declared to be a public necessity and for
the health, welfare and recreation of the inhabitants of said city.
That condemnation proceedings be, and the same hereby are,
authorized to be brought in the name of Salt Lake City by the Law Department

of Salt Lake City to acquire thereby all the land hereinafter described
for the construction thereon of a library building and incidental facili-
ties as hereinabove set forth.
The parcels of land hereinabove referred to and hereby authorized
to be acquired by condemnation proceedings in accordance with the provisions
of the statutes and the constitution of the State of Utah relating to
eminent domain are situated in the County of Salt Lake, State of Utah,
and are more particularly described as follows:
PARCEL NO. 1.
"Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 2, Block 37,
Plat "A", Salt Lake City Plat; thence East 10 rods; thence
North 10 rods; thence West 10 rods; thence South 10 rods;
to the point of beginning."
PARCEL NO. 2.
"Beginning 6 rods West of the Southeast corner of Lot
2, Black 37, Plat "A", Salt Lake City Plat; thence West 4
rods; thence North 10 rods; thence East 4 rods; thence
South 10 rods to the point of beginning."
PARCEL NO. 3.
"Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot 3, Block 37,
Plat "A", Salt Lake City Plat; thence North 36 feet; thence
East 163 feet; thence South 36 feet; thence West 163 feet
to the point of beginning."
