RESOLUTION
Result —
WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of
the Board of City Commissioners of Salt Lake City, that an
Act was passed by the Congress of the United States of America
in the Second Session of the 59th Congress, 1906 and 1907,
providing for a right-of-way and authorizing the City Council
of Salt Lake City, Utah, to construct and maintain a boulevard
through the Military Reservation of Fort Douglas, Utah, which
Act was approved February 25, 1907, and found at Page 927,
Part One, United States Statutes, Chapter 1188, and
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City is now desirous of having
a boulevard constructed, in co-operation with Salt Lake County,
through the said Military Reservation of Fort Douglas, Utah,
NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved that Salt Lake City
take necessary steps to obtain from the Secretary of War a
location for the said boulevard right-of-way of the width of
fifty (50) feet, and to be constructed on the line shown on the
map and plat hereto attached and made a part of this resolution.
