Green _ii- -. Mr. Chairman i Result RESOLUTION OP INTENTION TO I;IAINTAIN LIGHTING DISTRICT NO. TWO. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: That the public interest and convenience require, and that it is the intention of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Laze City to order the following improvement to be made in said city, namely: That there shall be maintained in Said Cit, under the authority and eroviaons of Chapter 15, Compiled Laws of Utah, 1917, a lighting district heretofore established and Iumom as Lighting District No. Two, which shall comprise the following Street: Both sides of ITain Street between South Temple and Fifth South Streets; , and the lots, pieces and subdivisions of ground fronting and 0, -° o ' sbnt-C,is °,on'-said street -within said lfarita Shall be assessed ac- cording to the benefits received from said improvement to pay th costs and expenses thereof; said improvement shall consist of t.b. maintenance of fourteen appropriate standards of special design heretofore erected in each block along Ilain Street (seven stand- ands on each side in each block) in said district, each standard carrying three inverted. ornamented 6.6 ampere luminous arc, lamps and said lamps, 210 in number, to be supplied with electric cur- rent for the illumination of the same from fifteen minutes befor; dusk until raidiight, four lamps in each block, however, to be aka r bighted:all night, -e :ery night. .Said Lighting District .shall be maintained for a period of one year from October 29, 1920, to and including October 28, 1921. Said improvementis hereby referred to the City Engine; of Salt Lake City, and he is hereby directed to maize and file with the City Recorder a. report in writing containing the follow ing particulars; 1. Plans and specifications for the work required for said improvement; 2. An estim jtoi he cost of said improvement and of the incidental expenses in connedctiron therewith. 3. A diagram showing the said proposed improvement district and the boundaries and dimensions of the respective lot., creels or subdivisions of land therein. 4. A proposed assessment of the total amount of the costs and expenses of the proposed improvement upon the several subdivisions of land in said district in proportion to the esti- mated benefit to be received b;T such subdivisions from such im- provement. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this resolution shall take effect imrcediktelr.
