Presented to the Board of Commissionors AND PASSED dP7 1 ;O iCV\ONIMIi\PCIttiV,M1 CI EN:RECORDER • '1 I f IN MEMORIAN RESOLUTION OF CONDOLENCE TO THE FAMILY OF JOHN FIFE BOWMAN WHEREAS, the Honorable JOHN FIFE BOWMAN, Mayor of the City of Salt Lake for four years, from 1928 until 1932, passed away on the 31st day of August, 1960; and WHEREAS, he served the people of this City faithfully and with high honor and distinction as citizen andas Mayor, and was respected and cherished by all who knew him; NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby pay tribute to hlm for his integrity and his devotion to the City of Salt Lake for his accomplishments in office, for the endless patience with which he worked for the best interests of the City, for the love and friendship which he had for his neighbors, officers and employees of Salt Lake City and for his rich contribution to the recollections of the citizens of the City and the annals of its history. He was a servant of the people, faithful to his church, in which he held high office, and to those principles of the Savior of mankind which are sorely needed at this time. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this Resolution be delivered to the family of John Fife Bowman with an expression of our sympathy and our sincere appreciation for the contributions he made to the welfare and advancement of Salt Lake City.
