// OF APPRECIATION
WHEREAS, Charles J. Ross has served the residents of Salt Lake
City as a public servant since January 5, 1939, a period of more than
37 years; and
WHEREAS, he has served Salt Lake City Corporation in the capacity
of Deputy Court Clerk, IBM and Traffic Division Supervisor, Manager,
License Inspector, Accountant, and Deputy License Assessor; and
WHEREAS, he has served in the Salt Lake City License Department
since March 1, 1961 and as Deputy License Assessor since May 1, 1973;
and
WHEREAS, Mr. Ross has been active in church and civic work, having
served as a bishop in Ensign Stake of the LDS Church and presently
serving as the Stake Clerk in said Stake and also as a tour guide in
the Temple Square information center; and
WHEREAS, his congeniality, punctuality and meticulous attendance
to duty have been widely known and admired by his associates; and
WHEREAS, he has performed his services for the citizens of Salt
Lake City in a diligent, faithful and untiring manner such as to give
credit to Salt Lake City and its officers and employees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City that it does hereby express on its own behalf and on
behalf of the citizens of Salt Lake City, its sincere appreciation to
Charles J. Ross for many years of dedicated service.
