11 '13.HEREAS the old Liberty Bell, the bell that rang

_ pilgrimage to the Panama-Pacific Exposition in
Result j San Francisco; and
W} RPAS it is announced that the delegation of
illustrious citizens acting as the guard of honor of the old
Liberty Bell has decided upon an itinerary which does not in-
clude this, the Capital City of the imperial commonwealth of
Utah; and
WHEREAS no greater object lesson in patriotism
could be inculcated in the minds of the youth of this City
than a sight of this great relic of Revolutionary times,
NOW THEREFORE Be it resolved that the Mayor of
this City be authorized and empowered to communicate with
the delegation in charge of the tour of the old Liberty Bell
cordially inviting said delegation to be the guests of this
City for a day and urging that the old Liberty Bell be placed
on exhibition during the day in some public place in this
City.
I move that the resolution be adopted.
