Barker Harmsen / Harrison YYY Phillips 104 j RESOLUTION -- Result RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, APPROVING NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, SIX MONTH EXTENSION OF THE CURRENT ANNUAL INCREMENT THEREOF AND FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WHEREAS, under Title I of the Housing Act of 1949, as amended ("Title I"), the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development is authorized to extend financial assistance to local public agencies in the elimination and prevention of the spread of their slums and urban blight through undertakings and activities carried out under a Neighborhood Development Program, and WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City has prepared and submitted a proposed Neighborhood Development Program and six month extension of the current annual increment thereof covering the urban renewal areas described in Schedule A attached tnereto; said proposed program and six month extension of the current annual increment having been duly reviewed and considered: NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION: 1. That the Neighborhood Development Program and six month extension of the current annual increment are hereby approved. That the City Recorder is hereby directed to file a copy of said program and six month extension of the current annual increment with the minutes of this meeting. 2. That it is cognizant of the conditions that are imposed in the undertaking and carrying out of urban renewal activities with Federal financial assistance under Title I, including those relating to (a) the relocation of site occupants, (b) the provisions of local grants-in-aid, and (c) the prohibition of discrimination because of race, color, creed, or national origin. 3. That the financial assistance available under Title I is needed to enable the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City to finance the undertakings and activities proposed in said program and six month extension of the current annual increment. 4. That the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City is authorized to file an application for financial assistance to carry out the Neighborhood Development Program and the six month extension of the current annual increment thereof. 5. That we do hereby approve the activities proposed under the extension which are all pursuant to the Urban Renewal Plans as previously approved. Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this i day of May, 1974. City,, Reco 4 SCHEDULE A The Urban Renewal Area boundaries for the NDP Urban Renewal Area No. 1 are described as follows: Bounded on the north by First South Street, on the east by Main Street, on the south by Third South Street(Broad- way), on the west by West Temple Street. The Urban Renewal Area boundaries for the NDP Urban Renewal Area No. 2 are described as follows: Bounded on the north by Fifth South Street, on the east by Fifth East Street, on the south by Eighth South Street, and on the west by Second East Street. CERTIFICATE OF RECORDING OFFICER The undersigned hereby certifies, as follows: (1) That he is the duly qualified and acting City Recorder of the City of Salt Lake, herein called the "Applicant" and the Keeper of its records, including the journal of proceedings of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, herein called the "Governing Body" (2) That the attached resolution is a true and correct copy of the resolution as fi ally adopted at a meeting of the Governing Body held on the-W/day of May, 1974, and duly recorded in his office. (3) That said meeting was duly convened and held in all respects in accordance with law and to the extent required by law due and proper notice of such meeting was given; that a legal quorum was present throughout the meeting, and a legally sufficient number of members of the Governing Body voted in the proper manner and for the adoption of said resolution; and all other requirements and proceedings under law incident to the proper adoption or passage of said resolution, have been duly fulfilled, carried out and otherwise observed. (4) That if an impression of the seal has been affixed below, it constitutes the official seal of the Applicant and this certificate is hereby executed under such official seal. If no seal has been affixed below, the Applicant does not have and is not legally required to have an official seal.
