Rampton has proclaimed Arbor Day on Friday, April 25, 1975; and WHEREAS, Salt Lake City's Beautification and Bicentennial Program is actively supporting the Bicentennial Program of Utah of planting over one million trees; and WHEREAS, Salt Lake City Corporation's portion of this Bicentennial Program is 175,000 trees. NOW, THEREFORE, we urge all citizens of Salt Lake City to observe this day by ceremoniously planting trees in their own neighborhoods and their environmental way of life.
